Currently, the State Treasurers office has approximately $281 million
dollars and $58 million in stock assets that belong to the citizens and
businesses of Wisconsin. Our Unclaimed Property Department works everyday
to return your property.

Under Wisconsin Statute after 1 to 5 years of inactivity Wisconsin businesses are mandated to turn all unclaimed money, stock and safe deposit boxes to the State Treasurers office for safekeeping. There is NO time limit for collecting your unclaimed property.
Our unclaimed property program returned $20,414,591 and 296,466 shares of stock to Wisconsin businesses and citizens in 2006. This year we want to give more of your money back!
